by admin on May 23, 2009

A Grandview driver drove off Interstate 82 and into the median early this morning when he fell asleep in his car, the Washington State Patrol said.

The crash occurred at 4:30 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of I-82 near Sunnyside in Yakima County, troopers said.

Jesus Brito, 20, was taken to Sunnyside Community Hospital by a third party. He was wearing a seat belt.

Brito’s 1997 Nissan Altima was totaled in the crash, troopers said.

Brito could face a negligent driving charge for falling asleep at the wheel.

Washington car accident injuries are to be handled by a Washington Personal Injury Lawyer.
