A certified nursing assistant (CNA) at a Limestone nursing home was charged Friday by the Washington County Sheriff’s Department with five counts of willful abuse, neglect or exploitation of an adult, according to a spokesman for the Washington County Sheriff’s Department.
Amanda Tibble, 34, of 112 George Laws Road, Telford, was charged “after an investigation was conducted into physical and emotional abuse at John M. Reed Nursing Home” in Limestone, said Washington County Sheriff Ed Graybeal in a news release.
The Johnson City Press reported, “The abuse apparently primarily involved Tibble’s using profanity toward residents … but there was at least one occasion when Tibble became physical with one resident at the nursing home.
“The defendant became aggrsssive with a 75-year-old client by twisting his arm behind his back and was using profanity towards the client.”
The Johnson City Press said Investigator Mike Adams “wrote that Tibble admitted to being verbally abusive to four clients by using profanity directed to them.”
